Christophe Godin's Metal Kartoon - Bumblefoot Maroquinerie (Paris) friday, march 11th 2005
"[...] Metal Kartoon, Christophe Godin's band, opens the show. The four musicians, dressed up as half-transvestites and wearing make up, take care of business brilliantly, in a visual delirium close to that of Marcel et son Orchestre. Almost as weird as the headliner, the band interacts with the audience, and Christophe and his friends' humour shows through music and their on-stage attitude.
This brilliant fusion of mixed influences scores a bull on every song and the audience, giving ovation on ovation, realizes it. Infernally groovy and impeccably precise, the excellent set is delivered by faultless vocal performances of the band, and a perfect osmosis.
We especially notice the bewitching «Les Seventies» and its unstoppable chorus, and Christophe Godin's irreproachable performance on guitar which always hits right on the spot. The upcoming release of the mad funny Metal Kartoon album will surely satisfy us greatly. [...]'
